My new series, ‘Old Souls’, is a memorial for our lost loved ones and celebrates the essence of them that we miss the most. I felt the work should counter balance the darkness I felt from the isolation during the Pandemic. The color pallet is, interestingly (and surprisingly), in stark contrast to my work of even a year ago. I work in Mixed Media with a focus on shifting the layers of each piece. After each layer is dry, I sand parts of it away, paint, collage or transfer another layer.

Most of my inspiration for these pieces are from living in coastal New England. Some works incorporate bits of collected natural elements.

Being an animal lover, I often create work inspired by animals. There are other pieces in this gallery that are explorations of different mediums and themes.
